![]() November Library NewsThe library would like to thank all the Springwoods families for supporting the Fall Book Fair. Parents purchased over 50 books for the classrooms, from the teachers’ Wish Lists. The Springwoods library receives 25% of the total sales, and uses those funds to purchase additional books to update our collection. Due to our high volume of sales, we were also able to take over $400.00 worth of books directly from the fair. Half the books are in the library collection, and the rest have been distributed to teachers for classroom libraries. Finally, the library would like to thank the parents who volunteered at the Book Fair. We couldn’t do it without those dedicated individuals helping with student wish lists and handling the cashier desk. Thank you one and all! Book Care Reminder The average cost of a new library bound book is $17.00. It is very important that students follow the rules we discuss regularly regarding keeping books away from food, drink, writing utensils, and young siblings. Wet and damaged books must be paid for so that we can maintain a current and varied selection for everyone to enjoy.
